Morelia spilota mcdowelli

Description :
The Coastal Carpet Python (Morelia spilota mcdowelli), is a snake found in North Australia. Whan adult, this robust snake maxes out from 1,8 to 2,50m.

It has a a clear ro dark brown colour scattered with beige cream to yellow spots. Colours and patterns are very varialble from on speciment to another. Most of the specimens have a line strarting from the back of the head, passing on both sides of the neck and continuing more ore less far on the body in the direction of their tail.

One specimen of Morelia spilota mcdowelli was at the origin of the Jaguar mutation and of several other morphs that followed.

Like Morelia spilota cheynei, a lot of crossings have been done with other Morelia species.
