Boa constrictor amarali

Description :
The Amaral's Boa (Boa constrictor amarali), is endemic of Bolivia. This snake is also found in South Brazil. This Boa has a reasonable size and maxes out from 1,70 to 2m when adult.

It has ocelli on its back forming characteristic drawings looking like bats, a silver grey colour and a lightly coloured short tail which never goes far than the cloaca.

This boa is still not frequently kept in captivity. However it is regularly and more and more frequently reproduced in the United States, then imported in Europe. Those imports contributed to democratize their presence among European breedings then able to offer captive born babies.
