Atomic Patternless Tumbes Boas proven to be genetics at Atomic Animals' !
08/14/2010 11:43

Dear Herpers, In 2009, Atomic Animals produced for the first time in the world a brand new mutation of Boa constrictor longicauda called by those who saw them: Patternless Longis. That name simply comes from the fact that these specials Tumbes Boas are a uniform grey with no pattern at all except some brown markings on the tail and sometimes some kind of more or less visible darker stripes on the back sides. We decided not to make much noise about this mutation until proving it to be genetic. However, some pictures were published in John Berry’s Designer Morphs book and on forums on the Internet as well. Many of the breeders who saw those boas thought them to be a recessive trait. That’s also what John wrote in the chapter dedicated to them. In 2010, Atomic Animals has once more produced some of these stunning snakes and is proud to introduce his proven Atomic Patternless Tumbes Boas (APTB). As expected by many, the Atomic Patternless Tumbes Boas’ gene is, as far as I can logically conclude, a recessive one. I will very soon publish on the Atomic Animals’ website a page dedicated to this spectacular new mutation with detailed story and photos. I will also post photos of the now one year old babies’ evolution, stay tuned! I wish you a nice day. Philippe

Spider x Normal = 5 Spiders over 6 eggs !
08/01/2010 15:02

Hi All, I'm sorry not to have enough time to post more regularly about Atomic Animals' hatchlings but I think that this clutch was intersting to show. Over 6 eggs laid by a normal female paired to a Spider, 5 Spiders and 1 normal hatched ! Not far from 100% Spiders !

A Silver Bullet for Christmas !
01/03/2010 18:20

Dear Herpers ! 2009 has been a very good year for Atomic Animals considering the many great mutations born here. We think about our Patternless Longicaudas, Pewter Bee and so on... To go on with good things, our last clutch gave us a lot of surprises ! From the 6 eggs laid by what we now think to be a Black Pastel bred to our Pewter male hatched 2 Cinnamons, 2 Pastels and 1 Pewter. Where we are about to think that the mother is a Black Pastel is when from the last egg hatched not less than a Silver Bullet ! That great surprise let us see that coming new year in a very positive way. We want to thank you all for your confidence and wish you a very good and positive new year ! All the very best. The Atomic Animals Team
